ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR THE ACADEMIC SESSION 200-07

Admission into +2 1st year classes
(a) Last date for receipt of application :
Two weeks (fourteen days) from the date of publication of result of the qualifying examination (excluding the date of publication) :
(b) Commencement of Admission based on first round of selection :
Within 14 days from the last of commencement of admission.

NOTE : The admission process (a,b and c) should be completed within six weeks from the date of publication or results of Annual H. S. C. Examination conducted by B. S. E., Orissa on the date of reopening of the institution which every is later.
(d) Commencement of classes :
15th July of classes :
Besides, the students may also be admitted into 1st year classes within two weeks (fourteen days) following the last date of admission on payment of late fine.

2. Admission into +2 IInd year classes :
(a) Last date of receipt of application :
1st July 2006 of the date of reopening of college affixed by the Govt. whichever is earlier.
(b) Last date for completion of admission :
15th July 2006
(c) Commencement of classes :
The Day on which the college reopens aftewr summer vacation.

3. A candidate, who passes the supplementary High School certificate Examination of B. S. E., Orissa has to submit his/her application within 10(ten) days from the date of publication of the above result and the last date of admission of such students will be the 21st day from the date of publication of the supplementary High School Certificate Examinationb of B. S. E., Orissa.

4. The college authorities are advied not to admit students in subject(s) which has/have not been permitted by the Govt./D. H. E. All admissions must strictly be in accordance with the sanctioned strength given by the Govt./DHE in such optional subject. Any deviation in this respect shall be viewed seriously by the Council. The institution will shoulder the sole responsibilities for their lapes.

5. School leaving certificate of the students admitted into +2 classes will be cancelled by the Principal of concerned of institution on the very dayof admission after proper vertification and photo Long Roll-cum-Admission Registers must contain the college admission Money Receipt Number and date as well as SLC/CLC No. and date in separate columns.

6. Inter-College transfer for combination of attendance under Regulations 160 and 161 will be given by the Council as per the following
(a) For +2 1st year classes :
1st September 2006 to 30th April 2007
(b) For +2 IInd year classes :

1st August 2006 to 16 November 2006.

7. Conduct of Annual Cultural & Literacy Competitions of the Council :
3rd week of November 2006

8. Chairman's cup debate competion of the Council :
Last week of November 2006

9. Competition in Essay and Poem (in English and Oriya) :
Last week of November 2006

10. Conduct of different sports / games of the council :
October to December 2006.

11. Conduct of Annual Atheletic Meet of the Council :
December 3rd week, 2006.

12. Participation of CHSE (O) team (selected) in various desciplines of 52nd National School games.

13. Issue of Registration receipts for A. H. S. Examination 2007 :
By 30th September 2006.

14. Tentative Dates for filling up of form for Annual H. S. Examination 2007
(A) For Ex-Regular/Private candidates.
(1) 5.11.2006 to 15.11.2006 : Without Fine.
(2) 18.11.2006 to 25.11.2006 : With Fine of Rs.50/- per student.
(3) 27.11.2006 to 15.01.2007 : With fine of Rs.350/- per student.

(B) For Regular candidates.
(i) 05.12.06 to 12.12.06 : Without Fine
(ii) 15.12.06 to 22.12.06 : With fine of Rs.350/- per student.
(iii) 23.12.06 to 15.01.2007 : With fine of Rs.350/- per student.

15. Conduct of Annual H. S. Examination 2007 : From 01.03.2007 to 7.4.2007

16. Coding and Valuation of scripts : From 01.04.07 to 30.04.2007.

17. Date of publication of Annual H. S. results of Arts, Commerce,
Science & Vocational stream :
By 10th June 2007

18. Conduct of H. S. (INSTANT) Examination 2006 : During 1st week of July 2006.

19. Publication of H. S. (INSTANT) Examination 2006 Result :
By 25.07.06

20. Date (s) for submission of Return of Matriculates for Annual H. S. Examination 2008 is/are as follows :
(a) Upto 31.01.2007 : Without Fine.
(b) 01.02.2007 to 28.02.2007 : With fine of Rs.50/- per student.

21. The following kinds of fees are to be deposited in the Council in shape of one Bank Draft while submitting Return of Matriculation (2006-2007 session and onwards).
(i) Recognition Fee.
(ii) Sports & Literary Fees.
(iii) Academic Fee.
(iv) Students Aid Fund
(v) Student Registration fee
(vi) late admission fee (if any)

NOTE : RETURN OF MATRICULATES FOR THE ADMISSION BATCH OF 2006-2007 SHOULD BE SUBMITTED IN DUPLICATE ALONG WITH THE CD CONTAINING THE REQUIRED DATA.

22. Scheme of studies (Permissible subject combinations) must strictly be adhered to as per the syllabus for the Annual H. S. Examination 2008 (Arts, Sience, Commerce and Voctional) while admitting the students into +2 course during 2006-2007. The institution concerned will be solely responsible for the deviation, if any.

23. Reports regarding the various competitions, Athletic Meet, sports and games and Cultural and literary meet organised by the Council at different selected colleges must reach the Council addressed to the Dy-Secretary, CHSE, Orissa, Bhubaneswar on or before 31st January 2007.

24. Receipt of Application forms the meritorious students of Annual H. S. Examination 2006 for award of National Merti Scholarship. : 30th Sept. 2006

25. Purchase of syllabus by each student admitted into +2 1st year class has been made compulsory. Each student is required to deposit the cost of syllabus as detailed below on the very day of admission. School/Colleges are requested to collect rhe amount at the time of admission. The syllabus for 2006-07 admission batch in Arts, Science and Commerce streams shall be available for sale atthe Head Office and Zonal offices from 1st July 2006.
Cost of Syllabus
(a) Arts stream Rs.15/- per compy
(b) Science stream Rs.15/- per copy
(c) Commerce stream Rs.10/-
15% discount is allowed on purchase of 64 copies or more in respect of each stream.

N.B. : 1. On 24th Foundation Day of the Council i.e. 07th September 2006, prizes/certificates/Gold medals / awards will be given to the meritorious students, position holders and the champions of different competitions/games/debate etc. organised by the Council.

2. All the dates are tentative. If the date fixed happens to be a holiday, then the said date may be shifted to the next working day.
