The National service scheme (N.S.S.) was launched during Gandhi centenary year on Sept. 24., 1969 and it has been introduced in this college since 1979 with a view to rendering social service to the community as well as developing social consciousness and promoting dignity and discipline among the college students.
ENROLMENT :
Enrolment is open to all students who satisfy the standard of physical fitness and possess a dedicated social bent of mind.
UNITS : ( Three Units )
Two male N.S.S. activities are broadly classified into two heads normal and special. At first one village is to be adopted and projects to be undertaken are selected according to the local needs of the adopted villagers. All the activities both normal and special are to be concentrated in the adopted village. Every year each unit should organize at least one special camp excluding the normal and the one day N.S.S. programme. |
